It was a long and unprecedented year for all of us around the world, but the end of the year is a great time to reflect. Here are Accern's 2020 highlights that we are most grateful for.
Accern in 2020:
2020 was transformative for Accern despite a year of uncertainty. Over the last 12 months, we have raised $13m in Series A funding for a total of $19m and have been fortunate to cultivate relationships with investors to support us as we take Accern to the next level. This has enabled us to invest in and expand our engineering, customer success, marketing, and sales teams for a total of 19 new hires within the past several months.
As our team expanded, so has the capabilities of Accern and our No-Code Artificial Intelligence Platform. Here is a breakdown of the major achievements at Accern.
Partnerships
2020 was a big year on our partnerships side. Each partner provides a unique feature for our customers, allowing users of Accern's platform to access more datasets, integrate with well-known applications, and export to more business applications.
- We closed at least 15 new partnerships with cloud, data, and tech providers such as AWS, Snowflake, NVIDIA, Microsoft, FactSet, and Google.
Product Developments:
- We made major improvements to Accern No-Code AI Platform's UI so that users can now build and deploy AI use cases with a simple point-and-click.
- Users can now build AI use cases with data from Dow Jones, Naviga, FactSet, and Morningstar directly on Accern's platform.

Users can import PDF, CSV, JSON, and more internal or external files to Accern with just a few clicks.
- Our No-Code NLP Model Trainer allows users to easily train NLP models without writing code.
- Our NLP models are specific for finance and now reach accuracy rates of 99.7% for entity extraction, 96.5% for event extraction, 99.7% for relevance analysis, and 93.5% for sentiment analysis.
- We created over 400 ready-made artificial intelligence use cases for financial services on the Accern AI Marketplace. Use cases provide smart insights for financial services.
Deployments and Security
- We added more export integrations so users can now export data into Kibana, ElasticSearch, Snowflake, AWS S3, Microsoft Azure, and more.
- We expanded our data centers compatibility so customers can deploy Accern in data centers managed by Dell/HP/IBM.

Looking Ahead...
We're not done yet! We have major plans for innovation in 2021 and are hoping to maximize the success that we achieved in 2020. As we continue to build our partnerships, expand our datastore, and make improvements to Accern's No-Code AI Platform's functionality, we have additional projects lined up. Currently, we are working on expanding our finance-specific use cases to offer the most advanced ready-made AI use cases that can be deployed without writing code. We are also working on Accern University, an educational section on our website to enable more data scientists and financial professionals to start building and deploying AI use cases on Accern. We can't wait to share these features once they're launched and running!
